President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev will visit the USA next week, Sherzod Asadov, spokesperson for the president, said.

Mirziyoyev will deliver a speech at the general political discussions of the 78th UN General Assembly session. He is also expected to participate in the first meeting of the leaders of the USA and Central Asian countries in the C5+1 format.

In addition, the President of Uzbekistan is scheduled to hold a meeting with heads of state and governments of other countries, as well as leaders of international financial organizations.

On September 19-25, the UN General Assembly High-Level Week will be held in New York.

The high-level week on September 19, according to tradition, begins with the speech of the President of Brazil. Then the speech of the US leader is scheduled.

Also, the leaders of Ukraine, Türkiye, South Africa, Hungary, Uzbekistan, and Kazakhstan are scheduled to speak on the first day of the assembly.
