Uzbekhydroenergo announces a tender for construction of 5 new HPPs

Uzbekhydroenergo has announced the first tender for the implementation of five new hydroelectric power plants, the press service of the Energy Ministry reports.

As part of the first slot, Uzbekhydroenergo, on the basis of PPP, proposes to build a hydroelectric power station with a capacity of 46.6 MW, as well as the corresponding evacuation infrastructure.

The construction cost of Kyzyldaryo, Suvlisoy, Dukentsoy, Kamchik and Kuyi Kuksuv HPPs will be $106.9 million. They are expected to generate 179 million kWh of electricity per year.

Stakeholders are required to submit a Statement of Qualification (SOQ) in accordance with the requirements included in the Request for Qualification (RFQ).

Further, an applicant who intends to upload RFQ documents must accept the terms of a non-disclosure agreement (NDA), which can be found here. The non-disclosure agreement is signed by an authorized representative of the applicant. After that, the document must be sent to all the following addresses:

Until September 12, one can send a request to these addresses for additional information or clarifications regarding the RFQ.

Documents are accepted until October 14.

In January, 250 promising sites for the construction of micro-hydro power plants based on PPP were identified. After their launch, the country will annually receive an additional 675 million kWh of electricity and will be able to save 200 million cubic meters of gas.
