Korean eximbank to grant Uzbekistan $74 million for purchasing medical equipment
The equipment will be sent to territorial medical institutions to improve the quality of their services.

Uzbekistan attracts a soft loan for healthcare from the Export-Import Bank of Korea. This is stated in the presidential decree, which was published by UzA.
The money will be provided by the Fund for Economic Development and Cooperation under the bank. They will be used to equip territorial medical institutions with medical equipment to improve the quality of their services.
The loan amount will be $74 million in Korean won. Another $14.78 million will be the contribution of Uzbekistan in the form of VAT compensation, tax and customs benefits.
The NBU will act as the financial agent for settlements on credit funds. The leadership of the National Bank was instructed to sign an appropriate agreement with the Korean side.
The counterparty under contracts for the purchase of equipment will be the state institution O'zmedimpeks under the Ministry of Health. The ministry itself and its head Amrillo Inoyatov were appointed responsible for implementation of the project, the targeted and efficient use of borrowed funds.
