In a number of regions of Uzbekistan, individuals who took money for admission to the HEI were detained, UzA reported.
In an operative event carried out by employees of the Andijan Regional SSS Department in cooperation with the Regional DIA, a person living in the city of Andijan (born in 1996) was caught red-handed when he earned the trust of another person and received $19,000 in exchange for enrolling him in the Andijan State Medical Institute.
During the investigation, it became known that this citizen had to give $16,000 of this money to a person working in the position of deputy dean at Andijan State Medical Institute, and he was also detained when he received the requested money. Moreover, a teacher of this higher educational institution, who was involved in this illegal work, was arrested.
In an operative event held by employees of the Tashkent Regional SSS Department in cooperation with the Regional DIA, a person living in the Yukori Chirchik district was arrested when he received $12,500 in exchange for enrolling two citizens in the primary education faculty of the Chirchik State Pedagogical University.
In the course of an operative event held in Bukhara, an employee of the Bukhara State Pedagogical Institute was arrested while demanding $5,000 and receiving $4,000 in advance in exchange for letting two citizens pass the exams for admission to the military education faculty of this higher educational institution.
During an operative event held in the Syrdarya region, a person living in Gulistan district (born in 1991), who was convicted of a previous fraud crime, demanded $4,000 in exchange for enrolling a citizen from Fergana region in the physical education faculty of Gulistan State University. The fraudster was arrested while receiving $3,900 and 1,150,000 soums.
A person living in Uchtepa district of Tashkent city, born in Khorezm region in 1995, earned the trust of a citizen and promised to arrange documents that his son completed the 2nd course of the university in Kazakhstan, enroll him in the 3rd course of one of the Uzbek universities. The lawbreaker was arrested by employees of the Tashkent city SSS Department, the Regional PGO Department, and the city DIA while receiving $1,600 for his “service”.
On the aforementioned facts, criminal cases have been initiated. Currently, investigative actions are being carried out.
