"There are too many guns on our streets, too much violence among our youth. There are young people in the city who harbor anger and violence. It is very painful. We must accept this painful moment and dedicate our lives to save children.

Young people are killing young people at an alarming rate. Fathers should never bury their sons. Losing our children is an indictment on our entire city and our entire country. We have to change it, we are losing a lot," New York City Mayor Eric Adams said.
