According to the MFA, the delegations of the parties were headed by Deputy Foreign Minister of Uzbekistan Bobur Usmanov and Deputy Foreign Minister of Belarus Igor Nazaruk.
At the meeting, the parties discussed the current state of bilateral relations and prospects for further strengthening cooperation between Uzbekistan and Belarus, as well as the interaction of the two countries within the framework of international organizations.
Particular attention was paid to activating economic diplomacy, including at the regional level. It was noted that in the sphere of bilateral trade, there is a solid untapped potential for increasing its volumes by expanding mutual deliveries of products that are in demand in markets. An exchange of views took place on the implementation of joint projects in pharmaceuticals, veterinary medicine, agriculture, food production and other areas.
The agenda of the talks also included issues of building up cultural and humanitarian exchanges. In this context, the parties reaffirmed their readiness to deepen partnership in the field of science and education, in particular, strengthening cooperation between the leading educational institutions of the two countries.
Certain aspects of the regional and international agenda were also considered.
