In his inaugural speech on July 14, the newly elected President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev stressed that in the coming years, the economy will undergo dramatic changes.
In particular, the principles of “green” economy and “green” energy will be more widely implemented. Investments in the economy will increase several times.
“We will reach the huge goal of bringing our GDP to $160 billion by 2030. Of course, this will not be easy to achieve. But we have clear calculations and real opportunities along the way. Our natural and labor resources, as well as intellectual and spiritual potential, work experience are enough for this,” the President said.
The head of state also stressed that leaders at all levels will be judged by the specific results of their activities, and not by beautiful words.
“We say goodbye to any leader who does not respect laws and people, treats them rudely, is an adherent of bureaucracy and corruption, whether he is a minister, governor, official or employee of any other responsible position. Such people damage the reputation of the state with their actions,” Shavkat Mirziyoyev said.
The head of state added that they will be replaced by educated young men and women who live by caring for the Motherland and people.
“I see in them new leaders of tomorrow, skilled managers of regions and industries,” the President said.
