On July 9, 2023, the presidential election of Uzbekistan was held ahead of schedule.
Shavkat Mirziyoyev was elected to the position of President of Uzbekistan with 87.05% of the votes of voters who participated in the election.
Also, 4.43% of voters voted for Robakhon Mahmudova, the candidate from the "Adolat" Social Democratic Party of Uzbekistan, 4.02% for Ulugbek Inoyatov, the candidate from the People's Democratic Party of Uzbekistan, and 3.74% for Abdushukur Khamzayev, the candidate from the Ecological Party of Uzbekistan.
More than 15.6 million or almost 80% of the citizens included in the voter's list in the presidential election voted for the candidate they considered worthy.
