Over 100 students who went to Germany for work faced problems with employment, some returned home

The Agency for External Labor Migration, as well as the company that sent students to Germany, commented on the situation.
Earlier, a video was circulated on social networks in which young Uzbeks are stuck at a station in Germany. They were sent there by a private employment agency as part of the Work and Travel program. However, when they arrived, the students found themselves without work and housing and were forced to spend the night at the railway station in Munich.
The External Labor Migration Agency studied the circumstances of the incident and reported that representatives of the private employment agency Turon World Cooperation, in partnership with a number of organizations, sent 102 students to Germany in May-June under the Work and Travel program. However, upon arrival in Germany, problems arose with the employment of young Uzbeks.
"Currently, law enforcement officers are studying the case," the report says.
Representatives of the private employment agency Turon World Cooperation responded to the video circulating on social networks and reported that the agency sent 79 students on a charter flight to Germany under the Work and Travel program. Another 23 students left on their own.
“The problem with student employment arose due to the economic situation in Germany and a significant reduction in jobs. The director of the agency personally arrived in Germany to solve the problem. So far, 71 students have found work, the remaining 28 citizens will also be employed as soon as the agency finds for them jobs. In addition, air tickets were provided to three students who wanted to return and they came back home,” the private agency said.
