The head of state expressed gratitude for the reception and hospitality shown to the delegation of Uzbekistan on Iranian soil.

In a friendly conversation, the parties paid special attention to the development and strengthening of bilateral relations and discussed the planned measures to further expand the comprehensive cooperation between Uzbekistan and Iran.

It was specially noted that the peoples were connected by cultural-historical commonality for many centuries. It was noted that mutual dialogues are becoming more active, and the need to implement prospective joint projects and programs was pointed out.

It was noted that practical work is being done to expand cooperation in such areas as trade, innovations and high technologies, investments, industrial cooperation, transport and communications, tourism and cultural-humanitarian exchange.

Opinions were exchanged on topical issues of the regional agenda.
