Uzbekistan Airways also clarified that the aircraft are purchased in order to increase the number of flights on domestic routes for the transport of small groups of passengers, as well as to develop domestic tourism in the country.
It is planned that these aircraft will be used on ultra-short runways and will expand the route network within the republic to such cities as Zarafshan, Shakhrisabz and Andijan.
LET L-410 Turbolet is a multipurpose twin-engine turboprop aircraft. The first flight was made on April 16, 1969. Currently, it is produced by the Czech company Aircraft Industries.
In total, about 1.2 thousand copies of various modifications were built, of which 862 were delivered to the USSR. The most modern modification, L-410 NG (produced since 2018), is capable of carrying up to 19 passengers or 2,300 kg of cargo over a distance of up to 2,750 km.
