Shavkat Mirziyoyev: Free school buses will be launched first in Karakalpakstan
Schools in Karakalpakstan will not have classes with more than 30-35 children at all, presidential candidate Shavkat Mirziyoyev said during a meeting with Karakalpak voters.

Liberal Democratic Party’s presidential candidate Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a meeting with voters from Karakalpakstan. He spoke about the work done in the past years and the future plans.
According to the head of state, in recent years:
• housing conditions of 51,000 families improved in Karakalpakstan;
• increased the level of providing the population with drinking water to 71%;
• 1 million 800 thousand hectares of green forests were established in place of the dry area of the Aral Sea;
• coverage of kindergartens increased from 28% to 81%, and their number increased from 317 to 1,600;
• 118,000 new student places were created due to the complete renovation of 172 schools, the construction of additional buildings in 104 schools;
• the number of universities in Karakalpakstan doubled to 12;
• the number of admissions to universities increased by 3.5 times, and the coverage increased from 19% to 46%. Currently, 58,000 students are studying here.
“Of course, a lot can be said about what has been done, but the most impartial arbiter of the results of our reforms is our people,” the presidential candidate said.
Shavkat Mirziyoyev said that 160 new kindergartens will be built and repaired in Karakalpakstan, and 2,000 private kindergartens will be established.
“We will create an additional 100,000 new student seats in the next 7 years. In this, 30 new schools and additional buildings for 150 schools will be built, 350 will be renovated.
The number of specialized schools will be doubled to 32. As a result, schools in Karakalpakstan do not have classes with more than 30-35 children.
We started providing free meals to 1st-4th graders from Karakalpakstan. Now, we are the first to start bus service for our children in distant and remote villages to go to school,” Mirziyoyev said.
