“Adolat” party nominated Robakhon Mahmudova as a candidate on May 12. After that, the party submitted its documents to the Central Election Commission and received permission to participate in the election.

In the pre-election program, the candidate proposed a social-democratic model of building a legal democratic, social state and a fair civil society with welfare for all in the path of Uzbekistan’s development. In the program, the idea of creating the necessary conditions for a prosperous life of every person in all aspects of society and state life, ensuring social justice and the rule of law was put forward. In addition, as a strong social state dominated by the principles of freedom, equality of opportunities, justice, solidarity, social protection and responsibility, where sharp stratification of people is not allowed, special attention is paid to tasks and goals such as achieving the inclusion of the population in the ranks of developed countries with a high standard of living.

Robakhan Mahmudova’s pre-election program consists of 10 directions, in particular, building a legal state, establishing social justice, ensuring the sustainable growth of the national economy, guaranteeing the sustainable development of science, innovation and education, strengthening the health of the population, ensuring the sustainable development of society, increasing attention to ecology and the environment, civil society, women and tasks such as strengthening the position of the family in society, establishing a highly moral society, conducting a peaceful, fair and progressive foreign policy.

Also, tasks such as creating new opportunities for ensuring human rights, adopting laws with directly working mechanisms were included in the candidate’s program.

The party’s candidate proposed to improve the road infrastructure, to establish public control over the quality of works performed in the field of road construction, to widely use the achievements of scientific research in this field, and to establish a system of stimulating scientists.

In addition, she noted in the pre-election program that she considers it necessary to develop and implement the program “Concept of ensuring employment of the population in the digital economy – 2030”. In order to increase the country’s industrial potential, it was emphasized the need to adopt the law “On small industrial zones” and to ensure the transparency of state budget revenues and expenses, in which all processes should be digitized.

Participants at the congress supported the proposal to nominate Robakhon Mahmudova for the presidency and the candidate’s plans.

It should be recalled that on Monday, at the 13th Congress of the People’s Democratic Party, a decision was made to approve party leader Ulugbek Inoyatov as a presidential candidate.
