Having studied the ad, MIA Cybersecurity Center employees looked for the person who published it. They identified him as a student in the 8th grade at one of the capital's schools.
The boy told law enforcement officers that he posted the ad for fun.
“Somehow, I saw an advertisement for the sale of the city on one of the sites, I liked the idea, so I adapted the advertisement for Tashkent and published it as a joke. I regret what I did,” said the boy.
It is noted that the ad on the sale of Tashkent, published through the account of the student’s father, was deleted on the same day.
“Each ad is checked for authenticity. The announcement of the sale of Tashkent was also checked and removed after 2 hours,” said the head of the online platform OLX.uz.
The matter is under investigation.
