Now it is possible to go to the “Kuruvchilar” block on the aboveground metro.
In Tashkent, passenger transportation has started at 5 stations completed within the framework of the II stage of the aboveground ring metro line, the press service of the Transport Ministry reported.
The total length of the 5 stations completed in the “Kuylyuk-Kuruvchilar” section is 7.74 kilometers.
Thus, the number of stations of the Tashkent metro reached 48. With the completion of the second stage of the construction of the aboveground metro, the total length of the Tashkent metro will be more than 70 kilometers, and the number of stations will be 50.
Stations have not been given new names yet.
At the beginning of April 2023, the Tashkent city administration called for a vote on the naming of stations on the “Dustlik-Kuylyuk” and “Almazar-Sergeli” lines of the metro line.
For information, the first stage of the metro line from “Dustlik” metro station to “Kuylyuk” station was launched in August 2020. In December of the same year, the Sergeli branch, a continuation of the Chilanzar line, was opened.
The construction of the “Kuruvchilar” – “Kipchak” station (the 5th station of the Sergeli line), which includes two more stations, is about 4 km long. So far, bus service has been launched in this direction.
