The Ministry of Employment and Poverty Reduction, together with the Ministry of Health, has developed a draft resolution that lists certain types of work with unfavorable working conditions, in which it is proposed to limit the use of women’s work.

This list includes work in the following areas of activity:

It should be recalled that from May 1, 2019, the ban on the use of women’s labor in certain industries or professions was lifted in Uzbekistan. Prior to this, Article 225 of the Labor Code prohibited the use of women’s labor in jobs with unfavorable working conditions, as well as in underground work, except for some non-physical work or work on sanitary and domestic services.

Instead, it was planned to approve a recommendatory list of industries and professions that could adversely affect women’s health.
