“Khududgaztaminot” signed agreements on modernization of the gas transmission system of Uzbekistan with two companies from Italy, the press service of the state enterprise reported.
One of them was a major supplier of gas equipment – Pietro Fiorentini spa. It will supply modern gas control points, as well as pressure regulators, filters and other components to Uzbekistan.
Four fracs from Pietro Fiorentini were installed as part of a pilot project in the Kattahovuz mahalla of the Shaykhantakhur district of Tashkent. They ensured a stable supply of blue fuel to 305 households and 5 wholesale subscribers, the report reads.
Terranova srl will also participate in the joint project. Its telemetry system will allow for remote monitoring and online control of the work of new hydraulic fracturing.
The contracts were issued as part of the ongoing work to improve gas supply. It is planned to upgrade 5.4 thousand hydraulic fracturing stations, introduce telemetry at 2.8 thousand high-pressure gas pipeline facilities, and install high-precision ultrasonic gas meters.
The Italian Agency for Export-Import Finance (SACE) will finance the project in the amount of 200 million euros.
To train specialists to work with modern equipment, “Khududgaztaminot” is launching a special training school for gas sector engineers. It operates on the basis of the corporate educational center HGT Training.
Retraining will allow the company’s employees to improve their skills based on the latest programs and techniques. The classes will be taught by foreign experts.
