Thanks to the joint active interaction of the National Central Bureaus of Interpol in Tashkent and Riga, bilateral negotiations between the heads of the NCB on the sidelines of the events of the General Secretariat of the organization in New Delhi and Lyon, a criminal was extradited to the Republic of Uzbekistan, who has long been on the international wanted list for fraud.
The wanted man, for several years, presented himself as an employee of the US Embassy in Tashkent and offered his services in processing documents and obtaining permission to travel to the United States, and therefore, all these services had to be paid. So, at the hands of a fraudster, more than a dozen people suffered. Having left Uzbekistan, under changed personal data, using a fake passport of a foreign state, the fraudster continued his criminal activities.
Despite the lengthy process of identifying the identity of the wanted person, recognizing his foreign passport as fake and personal data invalid, thanks to the joint efforts of the NCB of Interpol in Tashkent and Riga, the criminal was identified and detained.
After satisfying the petition of the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Republic of Uzbekistan for extradition, accompanied by employees of the NCB of Interpol, the criminal was taken to Uzbekistan to face trial.
