He announced it on his Twitter.
“Today I’m embarking on a trip to Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, and India. It will be my first time as Secretary visiting Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan — and I look forward to advancing our Central Asian partnerships. From there, I’ll head to India for the G20 Ministerial,” Blinken said.
It was previously reported that the head of the US foreign policy office, Antony Blinken, would meet with the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev during his visit to Tashkent.
In Astana, he will participate in the C5+1 Ministerial with representatives of all five countries in the region to confirm the commitment of the USA to the independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity of the CA states, as well as to cooperate with the region in finding solutions to common global problems.
At the C5+1 ministerial meeting, issues of strengthening economic, energy, environmental and security cooperation between the USA, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan will be discussed.
