Bektemir district court sentences a man to 10-year imprisonment for killing his wife
On February 17, a criminal case against a person who committed the crime of “intentional murder” was heard in the Bektemir court on criminal proceedings. The husband who went to his mother-in-law’s house and killed his wife was sentenced to 10 years in prison.
Allegedly, a man living in the capital’s Bektemir district got into an argument with his wife. As a result, the woman went to her mother’s house. On November 1, 2022, the husband went to his mother-in-law’s house at night, taking a kitchen knife with him to kill his wife.
He broke into the room where his wife was staying and had another quarrel with her. After that, the man stabbed his wife several times with a kitchen knife and fled from the scene. As a result, the woman died with fatal injuries inflicted.
At the court session held in the Bektemir district court on criminal cases, the judge found the defendant guilty of committing the crime specified in Article 97-2 of the Criminal Code. He was sentenced to 10 years in prison.
