At the meeting, the president noted the fruitful work and active efforts of the ambassador in strengthening Uzbekistan-China relations and the strategic partnership.

Over the past few years, bilateral trade doubled, and the number of joint projects and enterprises tripled. The parties are currently implementing a major construction project – the China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan railway.

Cultural and humanitarian exchanges are expanding, and important programs are being implemented in education, healthcare, archeology, tourism and other areas.

Following the talks, President Mirziyoyev awarded Ambassador Jiang Yan the Order of “Friendship”.
