According to a Kun.uz source, he became an adviser to the Minister of Natural Resources. 

It should be recalled that the Ministry of Natural Resources was headed by Aziz Abdukhakimov. In addition, Narzullo Oblomurodov, who served as chairman of the State Committee for Ecology and Environmental Protection, was appointed Deputy Minister of Natural Resources. 

The Ministry of Natural Resources was formed in accordance with the presidential decree “On measures to implement the administrative reform of the new Uzbekistan”.

At the end of December 2022, Rasul Kusherbayev wrote on his Telegram channel that he wanted to give up his mandate. 

“I decided to end my parliamentary activity. I cannot work like this. I am sorry I have to do this,” he said. 

A possible reason why Rasul Kusherbayev came to this decision was that the deputy speaker of the Legislative Chamber, Ulugbek Inoyatov, did not give him a vote during the discussion of the draft budget. 

Later, the Central Election Commission considered the issue of early termination of the powers of the deputy of the Legislative Chamber of Oliy Majlis Rasul Kusherbayev. 

Members of the commission unanimously supported the termination of his powers.
