Statistics Agency names cities with largest population
Statistics Agency has provided data about cities with the largest and the smallest number of permanent residents.

As of January 1, 2023, the number of permanent residents in the republic was 36,024,900 people, Statistics Agency said.
Cities with the largest number of permanent residents in Uzbekistan:
- Namangan - 678.2 thousand people
- Samarkand - 573.2 thousand people
- Andijan - 468.1 thousand people
- Nukus - 334.6 thousand people
- Fergana - 305.6 thousand people
- Karshi - 289.6 thousand people
- Bukhara - 289.2 thousand people
- Kokand - 264.1 thousand people
- Margilan - 246.7 thousand people
- Termez - 195.9 thousand people
Cities with the smallest number of permanent residents in Uzbekistan:
- Ghazgon - 9.1 thousand people
- Shirin - 19.3 thousand people
- Ohangaron - 40.7 thousand people
- Khanabad - 45.0 thousand people
- Yangiyer - 46.8 thousand people
- Nurafshan - 54.1 thousand people
- Kogon - 63.8 thousand people
- Yangiyul - 81.9 thousand people
- Zarafshan - 86.5 thousand people
