The president defined goals for 2023 to reduce poverty. He instructed responsible officials to ensure the employment of 5 million people by the end of the year and create additional 2 million permanent jobs.

It was noted at the meeting that 14% of the population in the country – about 5 million 40 thousand people – currently live in poverty. That is, their monthly income is less than 498 thousand soums, which is officially the poverty line.
