Health Ministry supplies regions with the next batch of Volkswagen Caddy ambulances

In the system of the Ministry of Health, work is being carried out to gradually replace old vehicles with modern ones.

110 Volkswagen Caddy ambulances were handed over to the “103” service at the Jizzakh Auto plant with the participation of officials of the Ministry of Health.

In particular, there are 2,938 ambulances in the 103 service, of which 648 or 22% need to be updated according to regulations.

As it was noted at the ceremonial handing over of new ambulances held in Jizzakh region in the presence of Deputy Minister of Health Otabek Fozilkarimov and officials of the Ministry, Volkswagen Caddy is distinguished by its high technical performance, high mobility and compactness.

In the design and equipment of these vehicles, attention was paid to creating the maximum possible comfort for doctors and patients.

Currently, the following vehicles are at the disposal of “103” service:

  • 244 Hyundai;
  • 145 Volkswagen Caddy;
  • 90 Nissan;
  • 46 Toyota;
  • 228 Ford;
  • 13 Foton;
  • 37 UAZ;
  • 5 Isuzu NLR;
  • 29 Isuzu D-MAX÷
  • 19 Gazelle;
  • 2082 Damas.

In accordance with the presidential decisions No. 5129 of May 27, 2021 and No. 283 of June 16, 2022, the existing Damas model and other types of vehicles that have completed their service period in the system are scheduled to be renewed in 2022-2024.

Studying the international experience, serious attention is being paid at the ministry level to the development of standards for A, B, C category of “Ambulance” vehicles. These newly adopted vehicles of A category are intended to further improve the work of ambulance teams. We have distributed 110 cars to all regions. We are sure that the fifth generation Volkswagen Caddy cars will serve the interests of our people for many years,” O. Fozilkarimov said.

During the event, the ministerial officials discussed their opportunities with the drivers who received the new ambulances.
