Law enforcement officers prevent circulation of $3.9 thousand counterfeit money in Namangan

Putting into circulation of 3.9 thousand counterfeit dollars was stopped in Namangan region.
The incident happened in the Yangikurgan district. The department for combatting economic crimes seized 39 counterfeit dollars with a face value of $100 while a man was selling them for 16.3 million soums.
On this fact, a criminal case has been initiated under Article 176 (manufacture, sale of counterfeit money, excise stamps or securities) of the Criminal Code.
An investigation is underway.
