Karakalpakstan extends winter holidays in all educational institutions due to bad weather
In Karakalpakstan, the authorities decided to extend holidays in all educational institutions and canceled all classes.

The Jokargy Kenes of Karakalpakstan noted that classrooms are too cold due to abnormal frosts.
The winter holidays have been extended until January 16 in all educational institutions.
Earlier, Bukhara also decided to extend holidays due to the cold.
The holidays were supposed to last 14 calendar days, until January 10, 2023. The third quarter was supposed to start on January 11.
However, according to the minutes of the relevant government meeting, due to a sharp drop in air temperature, the winter holidays of students were extended until January 17.
On January 10, in two regions of Uzbekistan, and later in all regions, the start of classes in educational institutions was suddenly announced.
Later it became known that the government of Uzbekistan, by a relevant decree, gave governors new powers, they can now extend the length of holidays.
