Capital’s budget approved

The budget of the city of Tashkent for 2023 was approved. On January 4, 2023, the decision of the Tashkent city khokim was placed in E-qaror.

In 2023, 5% of district budgets, but at least 6 billion soums, are planned for “Open Budget” projects. The budget of the capital is 6.4 trillion soums. Kun.uz compared the forecast of Tashkent city’s income from taxes, fees, fines and other sources with last year (diagram).

The capital’s budget for 2023 is 6.4 trillion soums. This is 2 trillion soums more than last year’s budget.

Budget revenues of Tashkent city

The tax imposed on the property of legal entities is the largest part of the revenues of the Tashkent budget – 932 billion soums.

The next largest sources of income are turnover tax (788 billion soums), profit tax from individuals (751 billion soums) and land tax of legal entities (714 billion soums).

In addition, revenues from state duty amount to 657 billion soums, fines – 474 billion soums, fees – 428 billion soums, and revenues from privatization – 100 billion soums.

Tashkent city budget revenue forecasts for 2022-2023:

In 2023, 5% of district budgets, but at least 6 billion soums, are planned for initiative budgeting processes.

In terms of districts, the largest revenue and expenditure forecast corresponds to Mirzo Ulugbek district – 137 billion soums. The least in Bektemir district – 60 billion soums.
