New rector appointed for Tashkent Islamic Institute
On January 4, a meeting of the Muslim Board of Uzbekistan was held, during which organizational issues were discussed.
Jaloliddin Khamrokulov, imam-khatib of the Novza mosque in Tashkent, has been appointed to the post of deputy chairman of the Muslim Board of Uzbekistan.
In addition, the rector of the Tashkent Islamic Institute, Uygun Gofurov, became deputy chairman for youth affairs.
In turn, the department head at the International Islamic Academy, Muhammadolim Muhammadsiddikov, was appointed as rector of the Tashkent Islamic Institute.
