In the future, exports will increase, Mongolian Minister of Agriculture Kh. Bolorchuluun said during an online meeting with Uzbek Agriculture Minister Aziz Voitov on December 20, Montsame reports.
In December this year, the Uzbek side granted permission to import meat and meat products to 9 Mongolian enterprises, as a result of which the number of enterprises exporting meat to Uzbekistan increased to 26.
In 2019, an agreement on cooperation in the field of veterinary medicine was concluded between the two countries, and the relevant veterinary certificates were mutually agreed upon. This opened up the possibility of exporting meat and meat products to Uzbekistan from Mongolia.
It also became known that the Uzbek side expressed interest in increasing meat exports through the creation of a joint livestock farm in Mongolia. In this regard, the parties considered effective cooperation in the “Healthy zone with veterinary and sanitary regime” of the three western aimags (provinces).
In order to create mutually beneficial cooperation between the two countries, Uzbekistan can supply fruits, berries and vegetables to Mongolia, and as a result of preliminary market research, it was concluded that they can be competitive in price.
