In the address of the president to the parliament, it was emphasized that the foreign policy based on open and pragmatic, mutual trust and respect will be consistently continued in the current complex situation in the world.
After that, it was said that the main attention will be focused on strengthening multilateral and mutually beneficial cooperation with all neighboring countries in Central Asia and countries that are strategic partners in the world, international organizations.
Work on ensuring national security and increasing the combat potential of the country’s armed forces will be brought to a new stage.
“Dangers such as radicalism, extremism, terrorism, human trafficking, drug addiction, which are growing all over the world, unfortunately, do not skip us either.
But, I repeat, in our country, where great scholars such as Imam Bukhari, Imam Termizi, Imam Moturidi, who taught the Muslim community, can there be people who are lost in this regard, who are given to the ideas of radicalism and extremism in our country?
We will not allow any kind of radicalization in our society, the poisoning of the minds of our youth with destructive foreign ideas, the use of religion for political purposes, and the substitution of ignorance for enlightenment. We are against any radicalization.
“Strengthening the spiritual foundations of our society, developing the cultural sphere, supporting the activities of scientific and creative organizations and our respected intellectuals will also be one of the priorities for us,” the president said.
It was noted that it is necessary to further study the ancient and unique history, especially the activities of the modern grandfathers who boldly raised the ideas of knowledge, human freedom, people’s freedom, love and loyalty to the Motherland and national values in extremely difficult conditions.
“No matter how difficult it is, we will never turn back from our chosen path. We will definitely reach our goals.
In this way, we rely on our people with great intentions, pure hearts and hardworking people. I believe that if we work as one, we will surely build the New Uzbekistan that our country is striving for.
I once again pay my respects to our brave, noble and tolerant people, who have been supporting our reforms in every way, bravely overcoming all trials, and making an immeasurable contribution to the development of our beloved Motherland with their selfless work. May our country be peaceful and our people safe!” Shavkat Mirziyoyev emphasized.
