Vladimir Norov, Tim Torlot discuss strengthening trade and economic relations between Uzbekistan and UK
On December 6, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Vladimir Norov received the Ambassador of Great Britain Tim Torlot.

At the meeting, the parties discussed the current state of bilateral relations and prospects for the development of cooperation between Uzbekistan and the UK.
The sides noted the fruitful results of the negotiations between the foreign affairs ministries on December 1 in the Polish city of Lodz, as well as the 26th meeting of the UBTIC, which was attended by 73 leading British companies. The need for the practical implementation of all the agreements reached on the sidelines of the above meetings was emphasized.
The parties exchanged views on organizational issues of upcoming joint events at various levels. In particular, the regular meeting of the inter-MFA political consultations on December 15 was discussed in detail.
Special attention was paid to building up trade, economic and investment cooperation. The ambassador expressed his readiness to organize seminars with the participation of British experts on the use of the GSP + system, studying the UK experience in developing the capital market and the banking sector.
Specific proposals for enhancing cultural and humanitarian ties were also considered.
