Japan appoints new ambassador to Uzbekistan
Foreign Minister Vladimir Norov received the newly appointed Ambassador of Japan to Uzbekistan Takashi Hattori.

At the meeting, the ambassador handed over copies of his credentials to the minister, who, in turn, congratulated him on his appointment and wished him success in his work.
During the conversation, the parties discussed the issues of further developing the Uzbek-Japanese relations of strategic partnership and multifaceted cooperation.
They also considered the schedule and organizational aspects of the upcoming joint events, including Central Asia + Japan Dialogue.
The sides expressed interest in building up trade and economic relations and intensifying contacts between the business circles of the two countries.
An agreement was reached to continue cooperation within the framework of international organizations.
