Uzbekistan and Tajikistan agree to continue cooperation on water resources
The Foreign Affairs Minister of Uzbekistan Vladimir Norov held a meeting with his Tajik counterpart Sirojiddin Muhriddin in Samarkand.

At the meeting, the parties discussed bilateral relations, strategic partnership and alliance in various fields. It was noted that due to the joint efforts of the leaders of the two countries, progress has been made in the development of cooperation in recent years.
The sides voiced their readiness to coordinate efforts for the comprehensive implementation of high-level agreements. The importance of active dialogue through parliaments, governments and line ministries was emphasized.
The ministers considered proposals for expanding trade and economic cooperation, supporting direct relations between regions of the two countries and implementing collaborative projects in energy, industry, agriculture and other fields.
It was agreed to continue cooperation on the rational use of water and energy resources and the development of sustainable transport and communication links.
