The dynamic growth of mutual trade was noted with satisfaction. The parties voiced readiness to take joint measures to further increase trade, implement investment projects in the fields of industry, energy, transport and logistics, as well as in agriculture.
The importance of encouraging and strengthening contacts between the regions of the two countries was stressed.

The commitment of Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan to the activation of cultural and humanitarian ties was emphasized. In this context, issues of preparation for holding the Days of Culture of Uzbekistan in Kazakhstan in November of this year were discussed.
Beibut Atamkulov is a prominent statesman of Kazakhstan. He is 58 years old, was the Consul General and Ambassador to a number of foreign countries. He held ministerial positions. Prior to his appointment to Uzbekistan, he was the Minister of Industry and Infrastructure Development.
As ambassador to Uzbekistan, Beibut Atamkulov replaced Darkhan Satybaldy, who in August was appointed akim of the Turkestan region of Kazakhstan.
