The visit was organized as part of the implementation of the agreements reached at the meeting of the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev with the Vice President of Vietnam Vo Thi Anh Xuan, which took place on October 13 in Tashkent.
The head of the delegation met with Vice Chairman of the Foreign Relations Commission of the Communist Party of Vietnam Nguyen Ti Hoang Van.
During the meeting, the Vietnamese side highly appreciated the ongoing large-scale reforms in Uzbekistan, welcomed the balanced, far-sighted domestic and foreign policy of the leadership of our country, the growth of its role and authority in the regional and international arena.
It was emphasized that Vietnam attaches particular importance to the development of cooperation with Uzbekistan, with which it has historically trusting and friendly relations.
To give additional impetus to bilateral cooperation, the Vietnamese side proposed to intensify the dialogue between the political parties of the two countries. In order to increase the volume of bilateral trade, an agreement was reached to facilitate the earliest possible holding of a meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission on Trade-Economic Cooperation.
The visit of the delegation continues. Within its framework, a number of meetings are scheduled in the ministries and departments of Vietnam to discuss issues of political, trade-economic, cultural-humanitarian and transport cooperation.
