UNWTO Secretary General arrives in Uzbekistan
Secretary General of UN World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) Zurab Pololikashvili arrived in Uzbekistan. During his stay in the country, he will visit the facilities in Samarkand where the 25th session of the UNWTO General Assembly will be held.

The high-ranking guest was welcomed at the Samarkand International Airport by Aziz Abduhakimov, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Tourism and Cultural Heritage of Uzbekistan.
During the trip, it is planned to visit the tourist center of Samarkand, the "Boqiy Shahar" complex, and the Congress Hall, where the 25th session of the UN World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) General Assembly will be held next year.
Pololikashvili will also visit the tourist village "Konigil" and the "Silk Road" International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage. He is expected to deliver a lecture for university students.
The visit will last until November 7.
