“The Finnish education system is the leader in Europe. We are in regular contact with them, we are sharing experience and learning. I believe that the experience gained from them will cause serious positive changes in us as well. So far, textbooks for grades 1-4 will be tested in 14 schools, 139 classes in the Republic of Karakalpakstan, regions and the city of Tashkent. 4,146 students will participate in the process, 6,432 teachers have also expressed their desire to participate,” Komil Allamjonov said.
It is reported that conclusions of Finnish experts are being received regarding textbooks and curricula of natural sciences, and online discussions have been organized with “Ottawa” and “Sanora” publishing houses regarding their publication.
Textbooks of national component subjects of mother tongue and literature, history, law, education, visual arts, and music are created with the participation of local authors.
Sardor Umurzakov emphasized the need to speed up the process, every lost day causes delay.
“The fact that we are studying the experience of Finland and taking examples from textbooks should not be interpreted differently. We certainly reflect our state ideology, national culture, and spirituality in our textbooks, and our specialists are directly involved in this process. We introduce foreign experience only in specific subjects. Of course, this requires a lot of work and money. But as stated by the head of our state, we will make every effort to raise a mature and knowledgeable generation,” Kun.uz correspondent quotes the head of the presidential administration as saying.
