Uzbekistan increases sugar production
In January-September 2022, 492.1 thousand tons of sugar were produced in Uzbekistan.

According to the State Statistics Committee, compared to the same period last year, sugar production increased by 112.3%.
During the reporting period, the Tashkent region had the highest share in sugar production with 285.8 thousand tons (58.2%).
Over the nine months, Uzbekistan imported 48,600 tons of sugar from 10 countries for $33.2 million.
Major suppliers of sugar to Uzbekistan are India, Pakistan and the UAE.
