Road checkpoint between Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan closing for 19 months

The Zangiota-Koplonbek checkpoint will suspend its work from November 1.
According to the Tashkent region administration, the road checkpoint Zangiota-Koplonbek on the border with Kazakhstan will be closed for 19 months.
Reportedly, the reason for the temporary closure of the checkpoint is the modernization and reequipping of the Koplonbek post by the Kazakh side.
The checkpoint will suspend its work on November 1.
