As AIMC reported with reference to the presidential decree, starting from March 2023, regular air transportation within the country will increase significantly. In particular, flights will be launched on the following new routes: Samarkand-Nukus, Samarkand-Muynak, Samarkand-Termez, Bukhara-Termez, Namangan-Termez and Namangan-Nukus.
In addition, in order to increase the tourism potential of Kashkadarya and Surkhandarya regions, it was decided to resume air traffic between the airports of Shakhrisabz and Sariasia. Also, aircraft will start flying to Zaamin district of Jizzakh region.
The document provides for the creation of a unified logistics system by integrating the air transportation schedule with passenger-friendly rail, bus and minibus routes.
The resolution also states that the deadline for allocating a subsidy from the republican budget in the amount of 25 percent of the price of an airline ticket for flights on domestic tourism routes to resident airlines of Uzbekistan will be extended until January 1, 2026.
