Gov’t simplifies requirements for organization of private vocational education
A resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers “On introducing amendments and additions to some decisions of the government of the Republic of Uzbekistan in connection with the creation of conditions for the development of vocational education in the non-state sector and the improvement of the system for attesting teaching staff” was adopted.
As Norma reports, the document provides for the introduction of amendments and additions to a number of legal acts, providing for:
- increase for non-governmental vocational education organizations of the maximum lease period for state property from 5 to 10 years;
- simplification of licensing requirements for non-governmental vocational education organizations by reducing the minimum amount that must be on the account from $50,000 to $25,000.
The category of teachers (instructors), organizations of preschool, general secondary, secondary specialized, vocational and out-of-school education is also expanding. Moreover, qualification categories (positions) that are awarded without attestation for training winners and prize-winners of sporting events and Olympiads have been determined.
