Japan grants $270 thousand to three medical institutions in Uzbekistan
Japan allocated more than $270,000 to equip three medical institutions in Tashkent, Bukhara region and Karakalpakstan.

On October 20, the Ministry of Health held a ceremony of signing grant contracts for three projects, the press service of the Japanese Embassy in Uzbekistan reported.
Grants will be allocated for the provision of medical equipment to the following three medical institutions:
Nukus Region Medical Association of the Republic of Karakalpakstan ($90.6 thousand);
Medical association of Peshku district of Bukhara region ($90,000);
Family polyclinic No. 17 in Almazar district of Tashkent ($89,900).
Japanese Ambassador Yoshinori Fujiyama noted that since 1995, more than 410 projects with a total value of about $27.6 million have been implemented within the framework of a special state program in the fields of health, education and agriculture.
