Uzbekistan’s permanent population reaches 35.8 million
The country’s population is increasing by an average of 2,000 people every day.
According to the data of the State Statistics Committee, as of October 1, 2022, the number of permanent residents of the republic was 35.8 million.
Since the beginning of the year, the population of Uzbekistan has increased by an average of 61,100 people every month.
For information, Uzbekistan ranks third in the CIS in terms of permanent population.
Earlier, it was reported that Uzbekistan leads among the CIS countries by birth rate.
