Acharya Institute of India opening a branch in Bukhara

The university will prepare IT specialties.
The Acharya International University of Uzbekistan has been established in the Bukhara region, Spot said with reference to the Ministry for Information Technologies and Communications.
The tripartite agreement on opening the branch was signed by Shalini Reddy, Executive Director at Acharya Institutes, as well as by representatives of the MITC and the government of the Bukhara region.
The university will be located in the Karakul district and welcome students from 2023. Its capacity for the first year is 1,400 students.
The university will teach professions in the field of IT, with the involvement of teachers from India. The educational complex will be equipped with modern computers, and the campus will include hostels, sports grounds and swimming pools.
The head of the Ministry of Information and Communications Committee Sherzod Shermatov held the first talks with representatives of the Acharya Institute at the beginning of the year. In July, the parties signed a memorandum of cooperation providing for the opening of a branch of the university in Uzbekistan.
The Acharya Group of Institutions was founded in 1990 and is located in Bangalore, a city that is informally considered the IT capital of India. It includes 10 universities offering training in more than a hundred courses, as well as 15 research centers.
The group includes technological, architectural, pharmaceutical, medical, polytechnic and other institutes. In total, up to 15 thousand students from more than 70 countries study there annually.
