The main attention was paid to the issues of increasing the number of jobs, developing entrepreneurship and ensuring food security, the press service of the head of state reported.
In the Syrdarya region, there are 35,000 unemployed and 42,000 people who have gone to work abroad. Taking into account the youth entering the labor market, it is necessary to create 100,000 jobs. To do this, the population will be provided with land by reducing the cotton fields. At the same time, this reduction must be compensated by a 2-3-fold increase in yields, and cooperation with the Council for Cotton Growing and scientists, it was emphasized at the meeting.
An additional 300 billion soums are allocated for lending to farmers growing food crops. From now on, farmers will be able to receive up to 150 million soums of loans without collateral. These resources will help create 45,000 jobs for Syrdarya residents next year.
Also, 40 billion soums will be allocated from the budget to improve irrigation of 5,000 hectares of sown land. The region has great potential for food production, animal husbandry and poultry farming. Opportunities were indicated for the implementation of poultry projects worth 1 trillion soums next year, which will double the production of meat and eggs.
It is planned to create 20,000 jobs in the region through 858 investment projects worth $1.7 billion.
“Every day we dive into some issue, no matter how difficult it is, we find means and pass a resolution. If any problem is voiced today, we will solve it. If the khokim has a clear plan with calculations, systematically organized the work, there will definitely be a result,” the head of state said.
At the meeting, the Deputy Prime Ministers reported on plans to create jobs, develop agriculture, implement investment projects, and improve the social sphere.
