Uzbekistan’s cement imports down
In January-August 2022, Uzbekistan imported 1.5 million tons of cement for $62.4 million.
According to the State Statistics Committee, the volume of cement imports decreased by 423 thousand tons compared to the same period last year.
During the reporting period, Uzbekistan imported cement mainly from the following countries:
- Tajikistan - 625 thousand tons
- Kyrgyz R. - 458 thousand tons
- Kazakhstan - 409 thousand tons
- Turkmenistan - 11.5 thousand tons
- Iran - 9.8 thousand tons
- China - 1.4 thousand tons
- Russia - 850 tons
