Hackers steal $700,000 from Asakabank
The press service of Asakabank reacted to the information spread on social networks about the theft of $700,000 from the bank account number.
“Hackers stole about $700,000. So, customers shouldn’t be losers, should they? Deposits have to be protected, right?!” one of the reports reads.
The bank stated that this incident does not affect the savings of its clients and their funds are completely safe. In addition, the materials on all the identified cases of violations of law were transferred to the law enforcement agencies in the prescribed manner.
It should be recalled that on September 3-5, a group of individuals transferred money from InfinBank to Visa plastic cards opened under the name of their criminal partners and embezzled them. “A part of the funds has been collected and efforts are being made to collect the rest,” the bank’s press service reported then.
