EV imports tripled over 8 months

According to the State Statistics Committee, in January-August 2022, Uzbekistan imported 1,499 electric vehicles from abroad.
It is noted that this year, imports of electric vehicles increased by 1,003 units compared to the corresponding period in 2021. The total cost of imported electric vehicles amounted to $46.4 million.
Countries from which Uzbekistan imported the largest number of electric vehicles during the reporting period:
- China - 1.3 thousand;
- UAE - 110;
- Germany - 34;
- Hong Kong - 30;
- Other countries - 19.
