Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Ilham Aliyev discuss issues of expanding cooperation
The presidents of Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan discussed the implementation of tasks related to the expansion of practical cooperation.

On September 15, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a meeting with the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, who arrived in Samarkand to participate in the SCO summit.
At the meeting, Shavkat Mirziyoyev noted that he highly values friendship and cooperation with the people of Azerbaijan, who share the spiritual and cultural heritage of Uzbekistan. Aliyev thanked Mirziyoyev for the invitation and noted that strategic partnership relations between the countries have reached a high level.
The presidents stressed the importance of further strengthening cultural and humanitarian relations.
At the meeting, the plan of future events, the agenda of the OTS summit in Samarkand were agreed upon.
